Ironton Telephone Company ( and, established in 1909, is immediately hiring/adding an IP PBX systems Engineers to its local team.
This is a well-compensated job for the right person with the right skills. We are looking for individuals with knowledge in advanced IP PBX / VoIP and a MINIMUM of 3 years of experience in SIP.

Technical needs must have:
-Experience in setting up SIP trunks and understanding of VoIP Telephony with a minimum 3+ years of experience in complex SIP environments

-Experience in IP PBX installation and support (Cloud and premise based)

-Knowledgeable in network troubleshooting and terminology including LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN Routers, Firewalls, Switches, IP PBX deployment, TCP/IP (IPv4), DNS, etc…

-Demonstrated experience using Tethered/Wireshark tools, Jitter, Packet Lost and other diagnosis tools used in Telephony and LAN/WAN Diagnosis

-Experience in setting up and managing mid-level routers and layer 3 switches

-Able to diagnose and RESOLVE (remotely or on site) problems with QoS, poor Network design (LAN or WAN or both)

-Able to work with end-users, provide diagnosis and recommendations leading to infrastructure improvements and better call quality in VoIP environments.

Technical needs (secondary)
-Excellent knowledge of at least 1 distribution of Linux

-Knowledge of Active Directory, Hyper-V and VMware would be a plus

-Knowledge of Soft Switches, especially PortaOne would be a big plus

-This is a 40 hours minimum job. We have different shifts available

-This is NOT a telecommute job. The chosen candidate will have to report to our offices in Coplay, PA daily.

Pay Scale:
-Commensurate by your years of experience, knowledge, education, certifications and previous job references (Telephony and SIP certifications will lead the way, followed by routing). 

Character needs:
-GREAT communications skills. This is a HIGH TOUCH job working with customers most of the day. Reporting back to management and keeping everyone connected is also extremely important. Customer satisfaction is the most important criteria we place. 

-Must have reliable transportation and maintain auto insurance at or above Pennsylvania minimum standards

-Prefer a local person (no relocation packages offered)

-Outstanding PEOPLE skills and the ability to communicate with clients all day
